Anime Ajin Episode 1 English Subtitles

20 Jan

ajin-post-image

Since HorribleSubs isn’t subbing Ajin, I went looking for other subbers and came across a copy of episode 1 with English subtitles but found that the translations aren’t very good. I’ve added some lines (actually only 2) and corrected most of the translations by the original subber. It’s not perfect but I hope it’s painting a better picture of what they’re saying in episode 1. Within the extracted ass (subtitle file) file I see, ‘RakuSubs’, ‘JKanime’, and ‘Subanima’. Not sure who the original subber was but I’m crediting them all because I’m too lazy to find out. I hope you guys enjoy my version.

Update: I came across a softsub by ShiteSubs and the translation seems to be the same as the mkv I found. So maybe they’re the original subbers. I also credit them here just in case.

Lightning and Saber Lily

09 Jun

Lightning2

FF XIII-2 is due to release this December and the 2011 E3 video released on Tuesday is just freaking awesome but that metal breastplate looked kinda weird with the feathers!

Ok who here agrees that Lightning’s amour is a fashion statement ripped from Saber Lily‘s garb? ☆ミ(o*・ω・) ニヤニヤ

Saber Lily + Kureha Nendoroid & a Happy New Year!

01 Jan

DSC_2241 copy

8th day of Christmas (sorry no maido san milking ) and a  Happy New Year !

It’s the dawn of a new year and I just made some crazy resolution including “Die Happy” and then I start to wonder if I should even try achieving that one this year!  LOL. Anyhoos, Nekoguchi’s resolution is of cos getting more updates and growing this space! (Monetizing it seems too far fetched for now but I hope to keep everyone’s eyes scrolling for more!) What ever it is, here’s some back dated peektures I took of Kureha and Saber Lily Nendoroid over the X’mas season which were also featured over at Gordonator – cos Neko’s down and so the trooper picked up the kitty and posted it there..

Ringo Noyamano – Hot On Wheels

25 Mar

ringo_noyamano_01

This is it! The epitome of procrastination has struck again! I admit. This is very late! Air Gear’s Ringo Noyamano’s actually my friend’s figure, who asked me to help him snap her up (before Chinese New Year in January) so that he can ogle at Ringo secretly on screen and keep the fig safely tucked under his comforter at night. Anyhow Ringo’s the second figure that the Kanaru post mentioned – Yes I know, its majorly overdue!!!

By the way it’s NSFW  so click when you think you’re clear of beady eyes from a 5 year old, blinking innocently up at you from behind while you let your eyes roam shamelessly across the screen admiring the curvature of certain aspects. LOL

Hataraki Mode ON!

07 Mar

This is it – my not so official announcement of me leaving the N.E.E.T society. It’s high time to put the thinking cap back on. The mere CASHLESS society that I’ve been dwelling in is making me deprived & desperate (major pun intended aka. CREDIT).

Reel vs Real Anime

21 Jan

reel_vs_real_05

[Picture Intensive] I was cruising on good vibes when I decided to try watching another magical girl anime show. Turned out its nothing like any other magical (kiddish) girl anime I’ve watched before. Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na koto ~ Natsu no Sora~ ( 魔法遣いに大切なこと ~夏のソラ~) is last year’s summer anime and I’m not trying to do a review here cos I’m just terrible at it. :P  I’m only VERY infatuated with the production for this anime. Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu – Comiket edition

28 Aug

I’ve been watching Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu (no its not Haruka above) and I think it kinda reflects a part of reality in some of us. I’m not entirely sure but I feel Japan’s fan-dom for the otaku culture is not entirely raging hot. I kinda notice that the culture isn’t readily welcomed with open arms by the locals so to speak.

When me and some of my otaku classmates were making small talk with our teacher and a bunch of school admin staff during one of our lunch breaks, they went “HUH” complete with goldfish eyes at the very point when we raved that we’re  manga/anime/game/cosplay/rock otakus and are crazy abut it here. It happened a few times with other locals as well. They just gave us THE LOOK – yes the “are you crazy” look, followed by a “why” question as dessert.

Comiket 74 – The Sexy, The Moe & The I-Don’t-Know-What-Happened

22 Aug

I have a question. I have an underlying, unquestionably questionable question.

Actually, I have been questioned to question simply because I just wonder.

Gundam EXPO Tokyo 2008

13 Aug

Living as a 貧乏binbou (sounds suspiciously like “bimbo”) means I have to understand what my wallet is going through and can’t splurge to feed my otaku fetish. . . And so I’ve missed the Cosplay summit in Nagoya, and the Wonder Festival here in Tokyo cos its not free admission. LOL.

I went to the Gundam EXPO yesterday though partly cos admission is free and its near where I’m staying. Trust me you’ll get kinda lazy wanting to go out in this dreaded weather even though its summer holidays now, but the force was calling me (and it was too great to overcome).

Anyway here are the drool bits from the event. I must admit I’m just a Gundam supporter ..not a die hard, hard core fan (yet) so I went there with only erm 40% knowledge of what’s going on.

Strike Witches OP – Re-make

10 Aug

Slice Cheese (Strike Witches Opening – Limited Edition)

I’ve been watching Strike Witches and find the OP song (Watashi ni Dekiru Koto by Ishida Youko) a “power-up” especially at the start of a school/work day. Did some curious runs through YouTube and found this sliced cheese made from a string of over 2000 shots, in just 12 days! Loved the way the “Slice Cheese” pun was added into the scene at the time stamp of 0.27 and the Gundam fight scenes are  just way too smooth! Comes with gunfire and smoke!.

I tried to do something like this with Evangelion’s OP on Flash some many years back but it turned out to be a total failure. This 3D version is way cooler!

Death Note 3 – L Change the WorLd

01 Jan

death-note-movie-3-01.jpg

Finally the long awaited 3rd movie of the Death Note series is coming out next February in Japan . It depicts the last 23 days of L’s life. Oh please don’t let him die! He’s too cute to die!

Check out the very nice trailer! I admit I haven’t been following the manga or the anime thoroughly enough but it looks like there’s a new girl now and I wonder if there’s going to be a new Shinigami!

The anime Vexille is released on the big screens here in Singapore today.

Special programme in Japanese

I first chanced upon the write up for this film while scouring for more juicy anime back in Q1 this year and it immediately struck me that it’s a must watch even though there’s only a miserable unattractive picture & the slightly dry synopsis below:

Bokurano’s OP by Hatsune Miku

18 Nov

Image of Hatsune Miku

I’ve heard this song before. I was searching for and watching Hatsune Miku videos on YouTube. It didn’t occur to me then, that it’s the same song in the anime Bokurano‘s OP. I thought it was one of the best works by her even though it sounded kinda odd the way she goes, “aniso, aniso…”. I wish I could say, “More moe images of Hatsune Miku after the break”, but it’s gonna be, “Hear her in the video after the break”. ヽ(;´д`)ノ

Gundam 00

09 Oct

Apart from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Destiny, this is the third Gundam series that I’m watching. Based on a different universe and era, unlike SEED and Destiny, there are no genetically enhanced humans(coordinators) who can pilot mobile suits more efficiently than regular humans. That seemed to be the main reason how coordinators in Gundams can take down entire fleet of enemies easily. In this series it seems that everyone is only human. Perhaps that is why Sunrise is focusing on faster, more powerful, and specialized Gundams to set the pilots apart from the rest. With images and some captions, I’ll introduce the Gundams that appeared in the first episode below.
