Anime Ajin Episode 1 English Subtitles

20 Jan

ajin-post-image

Since HorribleSubs isn’t subbing Ajin, I went looking for other subbers and came across a copy of episode 1 with English subtitles but found that the translations aren’t very good. I’ve added some lines (actually only 2) and corrected most of the translations by the original subber. It’s not perfect but I hope it’s painting a better picture of what they’re saying in episode 1. Within the extracted ass (subtitle file) file I see, ‘RakuSubs’, ‘JKanime’, and ‘Subanima’. Not sure who the original subber was but I’m crediting them all because I’m too lazy to find out. I hope you guys enjoy my version.

Update: I came across a softsub by ShiteSubs and the translation seems to be the same as the mkv I found. So maybe they’re the original subbers. I also credit them here just in case.

Lightning and Saber Lily

09 Jun

Lightning2

FF XIII-2 is due to release this December and the 2011 E3 video released on Tuesday is just freaking awesome but that metal breastplate looked kinda weird with the feathers!

Ok who here agrees that Lightning’s amour is a fashion statement ripped from Saber Lily‘s garb? ☆ミ(o*・ω・) ニヤニヤ

Hataraki Mode ON!

07 Mar

This is it – my not so official announcement of me leaving the N.E.E.T society. It’s high time to put the thinking cap back on. The mere CASHLESS society that I’ve been dwelling in is making me deprived & desperate (major pun intended aka. CREDIT).

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu – Comiket edition

28 Aug

I’ve been watching Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu (no its not Haruka above) and I think it kinda reflects a part of reality in some of us. I’m not entirely sure but I feel Japan’s fan-dom for the otaku culture is not entirely raging hot. I kinda notice that the culture isn’t readily welcomed with open arms by the locals so to speak.

When me and some of my otaku classmates were making small talk with our teacher and a bunch of school admin staff during one of our lunch breaks, they went “HUH” complete with goldfish eyes at the very point when we raved that we’re  manga/anime/game/cosplay/rock otakus and are crazy abut it here. It happened a few times with other locals as well. They just gave us THE LOOK – yes the “are you crazy” look, followed by a “why” question as dessert.

The anime Vexille is released on the big screens here in Singapore today.

Special programme in Japanese

I first chanced upon the write up for this film while scouring for more juicy anime back in Q1 this year and it immediately struck me that it’s a must watch even though there’s only a miserable unattractive picture & the slightly dry synopsis below:

Bokurano’s OP by Hatsune Miku

18 Nov

Image of Hatsune Miku

I’ve heard this song before. I was searching for and watching Hatsune Miku videos on YouTube. It didn’t occur to me then, that it’s the same song in the anime Bokurano‘s OP. I thought it was one of the best works by her even though it sounded kinda odd the way she goes, “aniso, aniso…”. I wish I could say, “More moe images of Hatsune Miku after the break”, but it’s gonna be, “Hear her in the video after the break”. ヽ(;´д`)ノ

Gundam 00

09 Oct

Apart from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Destiny, this is the third Gundam series that I’m watching. Based on a different universe and era, unlike SEED and Destiny, there are no genetically enhanced humans(coordinators) who can pilot mobile suits more efficiently than regular humans. That seemed to be the main reason how coordinators in Gundams can take down entire fleet of enemies easily. In this series it seems that everyone is only human. Perhaps that is why Sunrise is focusing on faster, more powerful, and specialized Gundams to set the pilots apart from the rest. With images and some captions, I’ll introduce the Gundams that appeared in the first episode below.
